In my earlier roles as a people and business manager, I was responsible for the business performance of my team. My favourite mantra during our team meetings was “Success is a mindset; it always begins in the mind.” I did not realize that I was inadvertently using the fundamental tenet of affirmations to motivate my team! 🙂 Prosperity and abundance is again a mindset. Let us take a closer look at this concept to understand it better.

The Law of Attraction is synonymous with attracting Prosperity and Abundance. The LOA, which is one of the important Universal Laws, is a reality but the process is not always as simple as just Asking, Believing and Receiving. We do well with asking and possibly even believing but most of us hit a roadblock when it comes to the third step. We don’t seem to be “Receiving” it. The problem is not with the process, the problem is with the roadblocks or limiting beliefs we have in our subconscious mind which prevent us from receiving what we desire. These deep rooted limiting beliefs have been conditioned into us during our formative years and may have taken the form of “Money is evil”, “I do not deserve prosperity”, “Too much money is bad”, “It is noble to suffer and have less”, to name a few. It could also be negative self talk like “I never have enough money” or “Money goes faster than it comes”.

When we are operating from a deep sense of lack, it is difficult to attract the kind of money we want and even if we do attract it, it is almost impossible to hold on to that money. Time and again we hear and read of people who suddenly come into a lot of money through winning lotteries or unexpected inheritances. Most of them lose this “fluke” money within a few years. This is because there was no positive change in their thinking – they continued to function from a mindset of lack.

By changing your consciousness and your thinking, you allow the Abundance of the Universe to flow through you and to keep flowing so that this remains with you.  According to Louise Hay, “Affirming, declaring, deserving and allowing are the steps to demonstrating prosperity and abundance far greater than you could ever win in a lottery.” Become aware of the beliefs that could be blocking the flow of money in your life and change your thinking into one of gratitude and abundance.

The affirmations listed below are designed to dissolve the limiting beliefs and negative self talk and to open ourselves to receiving the abundance and prosperity we desire. Abundance is like the ocean. You can take all that you want and there will still be more than enough for everyone else. The question is with what mindset are you dipping into the ocean of the Universe…

Affirmations for Prosperity

1. Abundance flows freely through me
2. Money comes to me easily and effortlessly. I love money and money loves me.
3. I am a magnet for money. Prosperity of every kind is drawn to me.
4. My income is constantly increasing.
5. I am unlimited in my wealth. All areas of my life are abundant and fulfilling.
6. I am thankful for the abundance and prosperity in my life.
7. I allow all the good things to come into my life and I enjoy them.
8. I am open and receptive to all the goodness, wealth and abundance life offers me.
9. I release all resistance to money, and I now allow it to joyously flow into my life.
10. I live in a loving, abundant and harmonious universe and I am grateful.
11. I now do work I love and I am well paid for it
12. Today is a delightful day! Money comes to me from expected and unexpected sources.
13. I am now willing to be open to the unlimited prosperity that exists everywhere.
14. I pay my bills with love and I rejoice as I write out each cheque. Abundance flows freely through me.
15. I deserve the best and I accept it now.
16. Life supplies all my needs in great abundance. I trust life.
17. Prosperity within me, prosperity around me. Abundance within me, abundance around me.
18. I am deeply appreciated and compensated for my work.

Choose one or two affirmations from the above list which invoke the strongest feelings in you. Follow the guidelines for repeating the affirmations and take that step towards a more prosperous and abundant life. You can refer to my earlier post on “Affirmations” for more information. Be focussed and open yourself to receiving. Sometimes the block to attracting money is that we are scared to receive it.
